35cm (Mondrian)' is a bright and beautiful Giclee print from artist and shoe designer Gil Carvalho. This cool and contemporary piece is from a Limited Edition of 10 and printed on 310gsm Hahnemuhle German Etching paper.
Born in Portugal, Gil Carvalho initially embarked in a career in architecture, he soon realised that his interests lay in a different, but not unrelated direction…that of shoe design. He graduated from The London College of Fashion and worked with the likes of Vivienne Westwood…as well clientele ranging from Madonna, Kylie, Fergie and Lindsay Lohan.
After 10 years in this field - and a very close relationship with the world of visual arts, Gil gathered his own personal work and produced his first series of limited edition art prints, inspired by iconic fashion objects and iconic people. Gil Carvalho adopts various methods of working - from screen-printing, photography and digital, to create bold, colorful, eye catching pieces.
