William Holman Hunt

William Holman Hunt (1827-1910) was an English painter and one of the founders of the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood. He was a clerk for several years, before studying at the Royal Academy School, where he met Millais and Rossetti, to develop the Pre-Raphaelite theories of art - and to found the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood (PRB) in 1948.

The PRB broke up after a few years, but Hunt remained loyal to its aims of painting serious subjects in a realistic style, based on detailed observations. In his obsessive quest for authenticity, his part prints were notable for their great attention to detail, vivid color, and elaborate symbolism. Among the most famous William Holman Hunt art prints, there is ‘The Light Of The World’.
