TONE is a UK based urban pulp iconographer and Art Nouveau cover artist. TONE’s background in the arts, started off when he was very young. He was enthralled with Manga, so he spent time re-drawing characters and then creating his own. He went to college for 2 years and gained a BTEC in graphic design, but everything he learned in the ‘art scene’ is self-taught through trial and error. The process to create his art prints is the result of a head full of crazy ideas. He starts out by drawing the character in his mind, and plays with different colour pallets, to create the sort of aesthetic he has in mind. Then he scours old comic books, flyers, posters, CD covers, magazines and slaps it all down onto canvas. Each piece of art he creates is closely attached to his feelings, and here at artrepublic we have some of his limited editions art prints available.
