'Welcome To My World' is a seven layer hand-pulled silk screenprint by Eddy Bennett. Made with letterpress debossing details from a magnesium plate. Each one hand finished with pastel pink dyed silver leaf. Signed, numbered and packaged in a bespoke tube, this is from a limited edition size of 50. "Inspired by the early 20th century lithographs and packaging labels, I wanted to achieve a detailed, quality print that resembled the craftsmanship of Victorian ephemera. The debossing details add a subtle touch of luxury, giving a nod to old cigar labels, only at a larger scale of 750mm rather than 75mm." This is not a digital print. Each one has been made by hand and will therefore vary ever so slightly.

Eddy is an artist and sign maker based in London, UK. Renowned for uniting traditional art techniques with his contemporary colloquialisms and Pop Art aesthetic, Eddy has forged his own space in the contemporary art scene. The artist says of his work: “we take words and letters for granted, but the way these shapes, lines and strokes make up an alphabet that we can then interpret as words and phrases in our heads is amazing! I want to make that process of comprehension as beautiful as possible”. Eddy utilises traditional Victorian techniques to create vibrant works of art that are anything but outdated. After moving from his home county of Cornwall to London, Eddy completed a degree in Illustration and refined his now-renowned style and love for sign writing. Eddy claims this was a natural progression from his earlier work, saying that “after learning the basic techniques, I quickly escalated to throwing hand-painted lettering across London, on almost anything I could find”. Eddy is now an internationally acclaimed artist, producing commissions for clients worldwide. We’ve been working with Eddy Bennett since 2016.

What is Archival Giclée
Giclée (/ʒiːˈkleɪ/ zhee-KLAY) is a neologism, ultimately derived from the French word gicleur, coined in 1991 by printmaker Jack Duganne for fine art digital prints made using inkjet printers. The name was originally applied to fine art prints created on a modified Iris printer in a process invented in the late 1980s. It has since been used widely to mean any fine-art printing, usually archival, printed by inkjet. It is often used by artists, galleries, and print shops for their high quality printing, but is also used generically for art printing of any quality.
How long will it take for my artwork to arrive?
We aim to dispatch unframed artworks within 10 working days of receiving your order. Postage within the UK takes around 1-3 working days. Custom framed items are usually dispatched within 21 working days of receiving your order. For more information, see our delivery page.
What is your returns policy?
Once you receive your artwork, you have 30 days to return it and get a full refund if you're not happy. If you would like to return an artwork, please contact us first at support@artrepublic.com. It is your responsibility to cover the return postage. Our returns' policy excludes items that are hand-made to order, such as artwork that has been framed, purchased as part of a timed release, or commissioned. These can only be returned if they are faulty.
How much does delivery cost?
