Clients have included Sony, O2,, Nike and Channel 4. Lately she has been working with and inspired by the traditional imagery of trade union banners, protest placards, and Arts & Crafts design in overblown, eye-popping 70’s supermarket packaging colours. Rebecca’s work explores the power of community and working together, and the strength and fun of colour and pattern. As well as illustration, she creates larger scale work, in mural form, having recently completed a shopfront on Carnaby Street, and also as huge embroidered banners and wall hangings.
Strickson was shortlisted twice for the Association of Illustrators awards and selected to appear in the Association of Illustrators ‘Images 36 Best of British Illustration book in 2012’.
