After graduating from her MA at Central Saint Martins, French artist and illustrator, Lucille Clerc, set up her London studio, where she works today. Handcrafted, from drawing to screen printing, Clerc creates beautifully intricate images, each one filled with careful detail. Inspired by her London surroundings, Clerc’s aesthetic muses on the delicate relationship between nature and cities. As such, her work possesses a sensitivity for the architectural, as well as being suffused with the organic, often depicting dense flora and fauna in soft, pastel shades. Geometric while wild, Clerc’s work produces a synergy between the built and the natural environments with deft, artistic prowess. In the past two years, Clerc has created projects for The V&A Museum, Berluti, Sandro, Fortnum & Mason, M&S, Magma bookstore, Laurence King Publishers, Farrow & Ball, DC Comics, Winsor & Newton, L'OBS, L'EXPRESS, Eurostar Magazine, and TGV Magazine.
