Horace Panter lives and works in the Midlands when he is not touring with his band, The Specials. Panter is an artist and bassist who was heavily influenced by the art scene in the 1960s.

He has said: “Coming of age in the 60’s meant that, artistically, I was attracted to the Pop Art movement, both in the UK and the USA and was influenced by artists such as Peter Blake, Andy Warhol, Jasper Johns, Robert Indiana, Derek Boshier, and Allen Jones. It was art I could relate to, alongside my other predilection for the 12” vinyl record … for an impressionable youth this collision of art and music was magical!” We love the way pop culture influences his artwork, which also references his career as a musician.

Panter graduated from Lanchester Polytechnic (now Coventry University) with a degree in Fine Art. He has exhibited his artwork in New York, Los Angeles, Singapore, and throughout the UK. His artwork has been collected by high profile clients such as Cerys Mattews, Nile Rogers, Richard Hawley, and Graham Coxon. Additionally, Panter has collaborated with brands and organisations such as Fred Perry, Club Wembley, Sheaffer Inc., Teenage Cancer Trust, Amy Winehouse Foundation, and Blues Magazine UK, among many more.

We’ve been working with Horace Panter since 2020.
