About The Artist - Jeremy Gibbs/RomanyWG

Romany WG (AKA Jeremy Gibbs) is a fine-art photographer and pioneer of the contemporary ‘Urban Exploration’ or ‘Urbex’ movement, which explores abandoned spaces through the camera lens. With a background in both fine art and feature film editing, Romany WG’s site-specific work is narrative driven: each urban snapshot tells its own story, a beautiful nexus of past and present as crumbling walls are met with urban graffiti or disused buildings are repopulated with staged models.

Today, Romany WG is known for his collective books, which bring together his own photography with the work of Urban artists from across the world. Both producing and promoting the work of this emerging movement, Romany WG is one to watch in the development of contemporary urban art.
