Dan Flavin (1933 - 1996) was an American minimalist artist famous for creating sculptural objects and installations from fluorescent light fixtures. He is considered as one of the most important artists of the second half of the 20th century. His work has been widely exhibited around the world. His estate is represented by David Zwirner Gallery.
