Colin Davis was born in the town of Lurgan, Co Armagh, Northern Ireland. After completing a BA (Hons) Degree in Fine Art at the Belfast College of Art, he went on to complete a Fine Art Masters Degree in Manchester, England. His work has been exhibited widely throughout Britain and Ireland, as well as Scandinavia and the United States. During his career he has also been the recipient of several prestigious awards and commissions such as the Award for Best Print at the Royal Ulster Academy Exhibition in 2007 and is represented in many private, public and corporate collections, including the Arts Council for Northern Ireland collection. He is currently a member of the Belfast Print Workshop and the East Belfast artist studio collective Creative Exchange. During the Summer 2002, Belfast and 2005, Louisville Kentucky he was one of five local artists involved in the “Links That Connect Us” project.
