Andrea Palladio (1508 –1580) was Italian architect, regarded as the greatest architect of 16th-century northern Italy. Drawing inspiration from classical architecture, Palladio created carefully proportioned buildings.
All of his buildings are located in what was the Venetian Republic, but his teachings, summarized in the architectural treatise, The Four Books of Architecture, gained him wide recognition. His art prints became models for stately homes and government buildings in Europe and America. At artrepublic, discover amazing art prints by Andrea Palladio.
