Alex is a contemporary artist from London, England. He combines typography and graphic elements to create vivid artworks that seamlessly connect digital and physical artistic techniques. We love how Alex explores the relationship between line, colour and the written word, with his artworks shifting constantly between regimented and more freeing styles. Alex says of his artistic practice: “my work is a balancing act of being measured out and gridded, yet loose at the same time.” Alex is also heavily influenced by his architectural background; the artist starts his works with the basic elements of line and form, but then adds texture, materiality, and colour to create his refreshing designs.
Alex trained as an architectural designer before leaving that career behind and pursuing art full time at the start of the pandemic in 2020. Since then, he has been making his mark on the art and design community. Alex’s work has been featured in publications such as The Sunday Times, Monocle Magazine and Livingetc.
