This week the two creative epicentres of Covent Garden - artrepublic and The Hospital Club united to host a one-off evening discussing the unique relationship between the worlds of art and advertising.
The panel debate brought together prominent figures from the worlds of art and advertising in a chaired debate that explored how these two creative industries intersect.
From the world of art were two leading contemporary artists - the legendary Sir Peter Blake and Dave White. The panellists discussed, debated and joked for over an hour on the creative process in both disciplines, examining how each sector has historically influenced and appropriated from the other, and exploring possible avenues for future collaborations and synergies.
Alongside Blake and White were industry experts from the ad world - Chris Lockwood, Head of Invention at Mindshare and Shaun Cooper, Marketing Director of Bray Leino on a panel chaired by Claire Beale, editor of Campaign magazine.
