London Art Fair 2014

  • 1 min read

London’s 26th annual art fair is in full swing with art collectors from around the world swarming to the capital to snatch up the best modern and contemporary art on the market.

Our sister gallery Ink_d, have curated an impressive display of cutting edge art on their stand (G12), including ceramics by Carrie Reichardt and Paul Scott, collages by James Cauty, and oil paintings by Jake Wood-Evans. The fair is a fantastic opportunity to see Ryan Callanan’s iconic smileys hung alongside unique Magnus Gjoen light boxes and delicate embroidered originals by Carne Griffiths.

artrepublic received a coveted invitation to the Press Preview, where we got a chance to admire incredible work by many of our top artists before it got snapped up by the buying public - Joe Webb's ‘Back to Black – Diamond Dust’ original was a real highlight, as was ‘Faith Less’ by Dan Baldwin. We were really impressed with the diverse work on show and it was fantastic to bump into some of our favourite artists, including Pure Evil, James Cauty, Ryan Callanan and Maria Rivans.

If you are visiting the fair in the next couple of days and need any advice on developing your art collection or taking your first steps into the art world, visit artrepublic director Lindsay on the Ink_d stand (G12). She will be available all week to offer advice on all things art collecting, from investing to framing.
