Fresh from his record breaking attempts at silk screening 77 individually pulled colours, Ben Eine has popped back into our Soho gallery with two brand new works on canvas.
It is the legendary printmaker and graffiti art extraordinaire’s second showing at our central London gallery and after a successful debut we are very happy to have more of his work back.
Both works are on canvas, both are heavily primed with thick, black gloss paint and both feature so many different colour sprays it is virtually impossible to count them all. The two new works are titled ‘Twenty First Century City’ and ‘South Of The Border And Mexico’.
Ben Eine is a true pioneer of the British street art scene, many of you who visit East London on a regular basis will be familiar with the giant letters and words that adorn his preferred canvas: the walls and shop shutters of many businesses.
Spraying with Banksy in the early days it is considered that Eine actually sprayed most of the Banksy works in and around London and has returned to lend his expertise to projects such as the famous Cans Festival.
Ben Eine is not just a master graffiti artist though he is also the man behind the printing of some of the most iconic works to come out of the Pictures on Walls studio over the last five years. Eine’s screen printing skills have helped produce some of street arts most sort after prints from arguably the greatest street artist on the planet including Banksy, Faile and his own work.
