Prefab77, the collective from Newcastle, paid a visit to Brighton’s sunny shores over the May bank holiday weekend to mark the opening of Brighton’s very own Fringe Festival and to attempt their biggest project to date.
In the short time that Prefab77 have been in the gallery they have become firm favourites with our collectors and have made a real connection with Brighton
The Prefab guys are well known for there large scale street paste ups having produced many house size pieces in Newcastle and could not wait for the opportunity to give Brighton its first taste of their unique street style
This piece is a fantastic addition to Brighton’s already famous street art scene and judging by the success of this work it certainly wont be the last we see these Geordie lads working there magic on the South Coast.
See the video of how this was created on YouTube.
The location for the work was provided by independent clothing stores Prime Brighton, Director Ross Czolak, said:
‘Working with Prefab77 was a real pleasure and these types of projects are exactly what Brighton’s North Laines are all about’
This prominent location in Brighton’s busy North Laines district required a very special piece and they did not disappoint pulling off there much sort after and long sold out ‘Enemy of Promise’ exploding telephone box.
