Fabulous new pop artist Pakpoom Silaphan has been featured in the glamorous Elle magazine following his recent solo exhibition in London.

He has been named one of art’s “Pop Idols” due to the way he combines the commercial with the iconic. As a child growing up in Thailand he collected old vintage advertising signs which are now used as the base of his work, painted with influential figures such as Andy Warhol and Frida Kahlo placing them as the subject matter. He admires the way such figures challenged the art scene in a way that is still relevant today stating, “Without their art, maybe I wouldn’t be doing what I’m doing”.

Check out the great prints that we have framed in the Brighton gallery now.
