It is the first mainstream auctioneer outside London to hold a dedicated sale of Urban Art. The sale features over 140 lots with original works by renowned artists, including Banksy, Nick Walker, Faile, Micallef, D*Face, Eine, Swoon, Paul Insect, Adam Neate, Beejoir, Matt Small, Blek Le Rat, Seen and Lucy Mclaughlin. Plus a number of newly executed works by names such as Inkie, Dicy, Mudwig, Graham Paris, Eko, Silent Hobo, Dr D, Jim Starr, Motorboy, Mau Mau, Guy Denning, Cyclops, Adam Koukoudakis, Flx, Pinky, Dora, Mr Jago, Rowdy, DBO, Kev Munday, Eelus, Hine, Tinho, Titi Freak, Carlos Dias, Ramon Martins, SPQR and Goldie. The content of the sale provides a broad representation of past and current work by many of the major established and less established national and international street artists at every price level. Among the Banksy pictures in the sale is ‘Glastonbury Sign, 2003’, a work in stencil on foam board, which is offered with a pre-sale estimate of £30,000 to £50,000, and ‘Portrait of an Artist', a work in acrylic on canvas from the artist’s 1999 Easton Exhibition. Other highlights include a one off ‘Mood Board’ by Nick Walker which is offered with a pre-sale estimate of £40,000 - £60,000 created between the years 2005 - 2007 this details tests of all work created between those years and provides a rare insight into the workings of this incredible artist. The works in the sale were first exhibited at the Ultralounge in Selfridges, London from the 23rd May - 1st June. The collection will then moved to Bristol’s Totterdown creative quarter, at 'The Paintworks', from the 5th to 10th June. Before arriving in Shoreditch, London, for the sale at ‘Village Underground’ and will be on view from 13th to 17th June.
